After 20 seasons, Alicia and Hugh Mulliken are turning the family business over to their daughters! The transition from one generation to the next has been rather smooth, as Carly and Hollace were both born and raised in Door County and were some of the very first employees for The Lodgings.
Carly Mulliken moved to Chicago after college and began pursuing a career in Human Resources. After almost 15 years in the corporate world and the big city, she was ready for a new adventure. Managing all day-to-day operations of The Lodgings, Carly loves ensuring each and every guest enjoys their Door County stay. Alicia has created some big shoes to fill, but if anyone can fill them, Carly can! Need suggestions on best eateries, things to do on a rainy day, or how to make the most of a two night stay, Carly has you covered!
After leaving Door County and finishing college, Hollace Alspach joined the U.S. Navy. After serving 5 years, Hollace hung up her uniform to focus on family and supporting her husband through his military career and many, many moves! Throughout all these moves, Ephraim has remained a constant for Hollace's family and they visit often and consider it home.
Carly and Hollace would like to thank all of our new and returning guests. We look forward to serving you in the years to come!
Nestled in the heart of Ephraim, our Lodgings is a short walk away to many restaurants and shops. Start your day with a cup of coffee from the Ephraim Coffee Lab. Next, spend some time shopping for women’s clothing at K.B. Miller Apparel. Finally, your stay wouldn’t be complete without a meal at The Fashionable or a beer and a bite from The Bad Moravian.
If you leave our immediate vicinity, your choices expand further! The Chef's Hat serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Pearl Wine Cottage is charming and has a delicious selection of foods and wines. Wilson's Ice Cream is around the corner and a must for a decadent scoop (or two!) of ice cream to eat as the sun sets. Finally, have one of the most satisfying breakfasts or best fish boils in Door County just a short walk north at The Old Post Office - neither will disappoint!
Thank you so much for your interest in our Lodgings and our neighborhood - it is an absolute delight to call Ephraim home. We are proud of how it has evolved over the years, becoming an even better version of itself for both residents and guests alike. We're also proud to stand beside mindful, hardworking business owners who are balancing the delicate nature of keeping historic Ephraim intact, while also delivering fresh, new, and exciting experiences for our visitors so we ensure they keep coming back. We hope to host you soon!
