After 20 seasons, Alicia and Hugh Mulliken are turning the family business over to their daughters! The transition from one generation to the next has been rather smooth, as Carly and Hollace were both born and raised in Door County and were some of the very first employees for The Lodgings.
Carly Mulliken moved to Chicago after college and began pursuing a career in Human Resources. After almost 15 years in the corporate world and the big city, she was ready for a new adventure. Managing all day-to-day operations of The Lodgings, Carly loves ensuring each and every guest enjoys their Door County stay. Alicia has created some big shoes to fill, but if anyone can fill them, Carly can! Need suggestions on best eateries, things to do on a rainy day, or how to make the most of a two night stay, Carly has you covered!
After leaving Door County and finishing college, Hollace Alspach joined the U.S. Navy. They say, “Join the Navy, see the world, and….get married and have kids?” Hollace’s husband is still serving in the military, so a lot of her contribution goes on behind the scenes. That being said, Door County is an important place to her entire family, so even with her nomadic life, they try and spend as much time in Door County as possible.
Carly and Hollace would like to thank all of our new and returning guests. We look forward to serving you in the years to come!
Nestled in the heart of Ephraim, our Lodgings is a short walk away to many restaurants and shops. Start your day with a cup of coffee from the Ephraim Coffee Lab. Next, spend some time shopping for women’s clothing at K.B. Miller Apparel. Finally, your stay wouldn’t be complete without a meal at Trixie’s Food and Wine or a beer and a bite from The Bad Moravian. Not only are there many more restaurants and shops within walking distance, but you are also steps away from the water.
